Shift patterns

Mon, Tues, Thurs, Friday 9am-5pm

Wednesday: AM - Self-directed learning, PM - VTS

Duties

30 minutes appointments to take a history, perform a thorough MSK exam and establish a suitable management plan.

Advice

Establish early which clinical cases you would like exposure to so your clinics can be set up accordingly. Outline areas of weakness and focus on these. Multiple joint pain/ chronic patients are much more difficult to manage and should be attempted later in your rotation, if at all.

Learning opportunities

Focused exposure to common MSK diseases and injuries. Direct learning from Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners on how to perform specific MSK examinations and tests. Variety of treatment options available including Kairos and APOS therapy.
